Executive Summary

The purpose of this Epsilon Phi Development Initiatives capital campaign is to raise and allocate $250,000 in funding for procurement of a multi-purpose educational facility located in DeKalb, Illinois.

Organization Overview

Epsilon Phi Development Initiatives, Inc. (EPDI) is a privately owned and operated not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation established in the state of Illinois, managed by experienced professionals that are members of the Black and Old Gold, organized to facilitate alumni involvement and utilize diversified resources to enhance the futures of African-American students at Northern Illinois University.

Mission Statement

EPDI serves as the entity responsible to develop and sustain resources for use in promoting the education and graduation rates of African-American students at Northern Illinois University, in partnership with entities associated with Epsilon Phi Undergraduate Chapter and Mu Alpha Lambda Graduate Chapter.

Vision Statement

Realize a multi-faceted facility which serves as an educational and historic meeting place, as well as a small residence, for African-American students of NIU, wherein structured tutoring, mentoring, life skills, and guidance are provided.  This vision will be realized and sustained as a cooperative effort of Epsilon Phi, Mu Alpha Lambda, E Phi Alumni Association and Epsilon Phi Development Initiatives, Inc.
